It's Been a While...
Hi.

First of all, sorry for not updating in FOREVER. I can't believe it's been over a month!

Anyway, I wish I could say my lack of updates is because I've been terribly busy doing fabulous things and whatnot, but it's probably more just a product of laziness on my part. My apologies.

And because I haven't been doing anything too exciting lately (or anything outside of the norm, I should say), I don't really have that much to talk about.

Oh, before I forget -- I'm still planning on sending out cards to everyone! I'm really sorry about that. :( Because Christmas is way in the past, I'm going to buy some new cards, I just haven't decided what yet. Maybe I'll just do those "Thanks for being a friend" or whatever cards, who knows. At least you'll be surprised!

This week has been ok, nothing that exciting. I am glad it's Friday, though we don't have any big weekend plans yet. Still, it'll be nice to be able to sleep in without worry. Last night we went to eat at Red Lobster for the first time in forever, and it actually kind of sucked. My lobster was SO overcooked, it's not even funny. And then we went tanning, which is only the second or third time for me in the longest time. And even though I hadn't yet built up much of a base tan or w/e, girl suggested that I go the full time because I was going in the top level bed and it had more browning rays than buring ones or something. Well, she was WRONG, because now I look like a fricken tomato! My entire body is aching right now, it's horrible. I tried to take a picture here at work to show my red face, but I'm not sure how well it turned out:



I guess you can't see the extent of how red I am, but it looks like it shows up some on my neck? I don't know.

Anyway, I can't think of much else to say. I'm just waiting until I can leave work and finally start the weekend.

How has everyone been? Do you have any plans for the weekend?

Oh god I got an awful burn from a tanning bed once and I was only in there for five minutes. It sucked.

Hope the burn gets better...

I haven't gone tanning in such a long time. I think I'll need to go before my cruise in April. But I can see the red - I hope you didn't smell burnt!

I have to go to a memorial for my grade school friend's dad who passed from lung cancer. There have been so many parents of friends of mine who've passed away, I don't like it.

But have a great weekend nonetheless!

Aww, I'm sorry about your friend's dad. :(

It's funny, because a lot of my dad's friends are MUCH older than him. It sucks now, because some of them (at least the oldest ones) are starting to go, and I hate having to go to funerals for people that I've known since I was little. It's so hard at times.

I'm a cat owner now! A orange tabby kitten has been living on my front porch since last week and my family decided to take her in! Her name is Caramel :)

I don't get people who tan, especially in places where there isn't lots of sun, but maybe that's because I'm naturally tan, and don't really need it?

I don't know what I'm going to do this weekend.

Awww you poor thing. :( I used to work with this 34-year-old woman whose chest was completely leather-y (ahhhh so so nasty) because she had been going to the tanning salon 2-3 times per week for years. Even though I need a tan desperately, her chest made me appreciate my paleness.

I'm going to add you right now!

I was SO mad, because I wanted to go for like 8 minutes and she was like "just go the full time (12), you'll be fine!" At least burn turns into tan at some point, right? :)
